McCurtain County in southeast Oklahoma is the perfect vacation destination for weekend getaways, summer vacations, family reunions and more. Here you will find deep mountain lakes surrounded by National Forests and clear running rivers with great fly fishing and thrilling whitewater adventures.

The Lower Mountain Fork River offers year-round trout fishing throughout a 12-mile portion of lower river, as well as its tributaries from the Broken Bow dam downstream to US-70 bridge. The river is also a popular canoe and kayak float trip destination from spring through fall. About five miles of the Lower Mountain Fork River is within Beavers Bend State Park, where boat access is unlimited. Below the park area, there are public access points at the dam and near the rapids of Presbyterian Falls.
